Time required: 3 hours
Difficulty level: easy
This trail is 5500m long and suited for families. It starts from the picnic area of Tramonti di Sopra, where you can see the first lime kiln.Follow the trail passing through a pine forest and you will get to the House Titol and then to the House Curs. Then, cross a broad-leaved forest and you will reach Pradiel, surrounded by wide meadows and with a beautiful view of the Mountains Ropa Buffon, Giavons and Frascola. Through a path in direction Frassaneit you will reach the bridge on the Stream Celestia. A short deviation from the bridge brings you to the old mill, recently restored and to the remains of an old kiln.
Go back to the bridge, take the mule track which goes down to House Roppa and proceed until you will reach an ancient traditional kiln. Take the road to Frassaneit and access the path which goes up to Ciuculat and successively to the kilns of Comugna and Durisia, the latter being the most interesting, well preserved and ancient kiln in the area. Passing through a broad-leaved forest you will get to House Abis, then proceed in direction Predacies, where you will find another kiln, and finally getting back to Tramonti di Sopra or to the picnic area where you started.
Along the trail you will meet panoramic points from where you will admire the valley of the River Meduna and panels giving you information about the wildlife, historical and cultural heritage of this area.
