Walking time: 3h
Difficulty level: moderate

This is a panoramic route that crosses the abandoned hamlet of Frassaneit and proceeds along the River Meduna and its emerald pools. From the hamlet of Pradiel you will have to venture into the Meduna Canal and after a series of ups and downs you will reach the exposed gravel river bed.

Once beyond the fall of the Rio Fisar, you will be amazed by the great pools of the River Meduna, whose waters are of an emerald colour. Going forward inside the pine and carpinus wood, you will find the houses of Frassaneit, with the renovated school turned into a refuge. The CAI N.393 track climbs down towards the river bed and then climbs up and around the south side of the top of the Mont Zuviel.

Following the track, which now becomes flat, along the lake for another hour, you will  reach the new footbridge that allows to safely cross the lake. This track requires training and mountain experience.

Here you can find a further detailed description of the track and the pictures by Sentierinatura.
